The plan

Jayme Lay, Carissa Lynch, Fred Simpfendorfer from Tamworth Public SchoolThe Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is a high level strategic plan with a ten year timeframe. It will identify the community’s aspirations, needs and priorities for the future and outline strategies for achieving the vision of the Tamworth Regional community. The plan must address social, environmental, economic and civic leadership issues, and demonstrate a link with the New South Wales (NSW) State Plan. You can download the NSW State Plan from their website.

Developing the Plan

Tamworth Regional Council will work in partnership with community groups, regional organisations and state agencies to develop the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) and co-ordinate delivery and implementation of the plan.

The CSP and supporting documents will be developed in four stages based on the following questions:

  • where are we now? (describe the current scenario)
  • where are we heading? (define the vision for the future)
  • how will we get there? (strategies and actions that outline what we need to do)
  • how will we know when we get there? (performance indicators to measure our success)
